Corrections Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026.

A useful article needs to be accurate as well as clear. If something on MerriMuse appears wrong, incomplete, or misleading, we want enough detail to investigate it.

Report a factual concern

Use our contact form and choose Editorial correction. Please include:

  • The full URL of the page.
  • The specific statement, image, product detail, or instruction involved.
  • What you believe should change and why.
  • A reliable source, manufacturer document, or other relevant evidence where available.

You do not need to rewrite the article. A clear description of the issue is enough to help us locate the right section.

How we assess a report

We compare the concern with the article’s evidence and relevant current information. Where sources disagree, we look at their dates, scope, and authority rather than automatically choosing one version.

A report can lead to a correction, an added qualification, a clearer explanation, or further research. A difference in taste or opinion does not automatically establish a factual error.

Concerns involving potentially harmful instructions or serious misrepresentation deserve priority. Please identify that concern clearly without sharing private information about other people.

What changes may look like

Minor spelling, formatting, and broken link repairs may be made without a separate correction notice. A substantive change may need a note explaining the corrected information.

An updated date indicates an edit; it does not mean every product, price, or sentence on the page was freshly checked on that date.

When information cannot be verified, we may remove the claim or describe the uncertainty instead of replacing it with another unsupported answer.

Images and ownership concerns

If your concern involves image rights or attribution, identify the image, the page where it appears, and the basis of your claim. Include a way to verify the original work or the rights involved.

Do not send identity documents or confidential contracts through the general form. We can request a safer follow-up method if more information is needed.

Keeping the process honest

We cannot promise a particular outcome or response time for every message. Specific, evidence based reports are the most useful starting point.

For our wider approach to research, visual presentation, and recommendations, read the Editorial Policy.
