MerriMuse.
A LITTLE CURIOUS.
A LOT TO LOVE.
MERRIMUSE / A MORE ACCESSIBLE MAGAZINE

Accessibility

Last updated: October 28, 2026.

MerriMuse should be straightforward to browse, read, and use. We are working toward an accessible experience across the magazine, including its navigation, article layouts, and contact form.

Features in the current design

  • A keyboard accessible skip link leads to the main content.
  • Navigation, search, and form controls have visible focus states.
  • Pages use headings and landmarks to organize their content.
  • Form fields have labels, and required fields are identified.
  • Images include text alternatives where they communicate useful information.
  • The layout adapts to smaller screens.
  • The theme reduces decorative motion when the browser requests reduced motion.

Using the magazine

You can move through links and controls with the Tab key. The search button in the header opens the search field; Escape closes that search panel.

On narrow screens, the category navigation scrolls horizontally within its own row. The full category directory near the end of the homepage provides another way to reach all twelve topics.

Your browser’s text size and zoom controls can make content easier to read. Device and assistive technology settings may also offer helpful display options.

Tell us about a barrier

If you have trouble accessing something, please use our contact form. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead.

If you are comfortable sharing it, the browser, device, or assistive technology involved can help us investigate. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical information.

We will assess useful reports as part of maintaining the site. We do not claim that the site has received an independent accessibility certification or that every possible combination of technology has been tested.

External websites

Retailers and other external destinations control their own websites. If an issue occurs after following an external link, that provider may need to address it.
