Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy explains how MerriMuse handles information when you visit merrimuse.com or contact us. MerriMuse is an independently operated lifestyle publication. You can reach the website operator through our Contact page, including for privacy questions.
Information you choose to share
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message. It also asks you to acknowledge this policy before sending. We use those details to understand your request, respond, and keep a record of the conversation.
Please include only information needed for your inquiry. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, or sensitive information about yourself or another person through the form. A product question or correction request usually needs a page link and a clear description, not a personal history.
Information involved in running the website
Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, request time, and error information. This helps deliver pages, investigate problems, and protect the website from abuse.
The contact form uses a concealed spam field and security checks. Its temporary rate limit uses a protected hash derived from an IP address, rather than saving the raw address in the contact inquiry. Separate hosting and security logs may still contain an IP address.
How contact messages are handled
Valid messages are stored in a private WordPress inbox that is restricted to website administrators. A notification may also be sent to the site administrator by email. This means a message can remain available in the private inbox even if an email notification fails.
We use contact details to deal with the inquiry you submitted. We do not sell contact messages or use them to build advertising audiences. Sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Services that help us operate
MerriMuse runs on WordPress with Hostinger hosting and site caching. Hosting, security, backup, and email services may process information as part of providing those services. We limit access to the information needed to operate the site and handle requests.
Our current theme serves its fonts and images from the website rather than requesting fonts from an external font service. This initial setup does not include our own newsletter service, third party analytics tags, advertising network, or active affiliate tracking links.
If those features are introduced, this policy and any relevant choices will be updated before they are used. The Affiliate Disclosure explains how commercial recommendations are handled when they appear.
Cookies and similar tools
WordPress and hosting security features may use cookies to support administration, remember settings, or keep the site working securely. The theme does not add advertising cookies. Read our Cookie Policy for details and browser controls.
How long information is kept
Ordinary contact inquiries are normally removed after 90 days. Routine cleanup depends on the website running its scheduled tasks, so removal may happen later. Relevant records may need to be kept longer to address an unresolved request, security issue, or legal obligation.
Copies may remain in administrator email or hosting backups until those copies are removed or the backups rotate. Hosting logs and backup retention follow the arrangements for those services. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for provider records we do not directly control.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can browse without sending us a message. You can also manage or remove cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect some functions.
Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain uses. Use the Contact page and choose “Privacy request.” Describe the request without including unnecessary sensitive information.
We may need to verify the email address associated with the inquiry before providing or changing information. We will consider the request under the rules that apply, including any reason certain records must be retained.
For contact inquiries, we can use the email address you supplied to locate the private inbox records and handle requests for a copy or removal. Information held separately in email or provider backups may require separate handling.
Security, location, and children
The website uses HTTPS and limits access to its private inbox. No website or email system can guarantee complete security. If you believe information has been exposed, contact us with enough detail to investigate.
MerriMuse is operated from Pakistan. Information may be processed where the website operator or service providers work, including outside your country.
Our family content is intended for adults and caregivers. The site is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If a child has sent personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the website and its services change. The date above shows the latest revision. For questions about this policy or your information, use our Contact page.
